Terms of Service
This is a plain-language template, not legal advice, and it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer. If you're running this instance for real, have it reviewed and fill in your own jurisdiction and contact details before relying on it.
The service
Send Shed offers Quick Share (upload without an account, plain storage, screened before publishing) and Encrypted Share (an account, client-side encryption, more storage). Both are provided free of charge, as-is, with no uptime guarantee.
Acceptable use
Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal to distribute — this includes child sexual abuse material, malware, and content that infringes someone else's copyright. Quick Share uploads are checked against a known-CSAM hash list before their link goes live. We reserve the right to remove any file and terminate any account that violates this, without notice.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Encrypted Share's decryption keys are never sent to us and never recoverable by us — if you lose a share link's key, we cannot get the file back for you.
Paid plan
The paid plan is a monthly subscription, charged by card through Stripe. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel anytime from your dashboard (Account → Manage billing): no further charges are made, and paid access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, paid access ends a few days after the paid period unless the payment goes through. Your files aren't deleted when a plan ends, but you can't upload more while you're over the free storage limit.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator of this instance isn't liable for any loss of data, loss of access, or damages arising from your use of it. Files can be deleted automatically per their expiry settings, or removed for an acceptable-use violation — keep your own copies of anything important.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the service after a change means you accept the update.
